Dr. Sheri M. Siegel

Dr. Sheri M. Siegel is a Licensed Psychologist who has been in private practice in the Atlanta metropolitan area for over 35 years. She is an active member of the American Psychological Association and the Georgia Psychological Association, and she participates with several community advocacy programs.

Dr. Siegel received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from The University of Maryland in College Park in 1985 and completed her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from The State University of New York at Albany in 1990. She moved to Atlanta to complete her clinical internship with mental hospital system of Georgia. She has remained in the Atlanta area and has been in private practice in Cobb County ever since.

Dr. Siegel enjoys helping and making a difference in people's lives when they are in transition or in crisis. She possesses an understanding that everyone needs help from time to time and is happy to be a support for those who need it. She enjoys the diversity and challenge of her evolving caseload and exploring how her work with patients relates to the real-world human experience.

Dr. Siegel lives in the metropolitan area, and when she is not seeing patients, responding to electronic messages or returning phone calls, or tending to administrative tasks, she spends time with her family, friends, and pets.

She enjoys gardening with neighbors in the community garden, reading and participating in a local book club, playing mah jongg with a group of friends who have played together for over 15 years, and being involved in spiritual services and activities at her local synagogue. She also enjoys exercising, exploring the area's parks, and discovering local farmer's markets. While walking, Dr. Siegel enjoys admiring the flowers, and all of the photographs on this site were taken by her. One of Dr. Siegel's strongest values is community service and giving back to others, and she creates and participates in countless community services projects and events throughout the year.
